Individual and Couple's Therapy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing short-term (3 months to one year) intensive psychotherapy services for individuals who are ready to step into their power, release old patterns, and create the life they want to live. I primarily work with adult women, young women, teens and couples.

 

My eclectic approach to holistic healing revolves around the use of body-mind awareness, trauma clearing using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and building inner resources for resilience. I begin treatment with an in-depth assessment. My strengths as a therapist lie in my capacity for deep listening, compassion, and seeing the best in people. All of you is welcome in the therapeutic relationship and all of you is worthy of compassion.

 


 

Through self-awareness we have the opportunity to bring all aspects of ourselves- the beautiful and the ugly- to light and to understand, accept and integrate them so that we feel whole. When we embrace the fullness of who we are, we create alignment with our highest potential. We can then operate out of a place of inner peace and integration, rather than inner war and dissociation.

I work from an elemental framework and incorporate my studies of the elements and cycles into my therapy. My aim is to assist you in cultivating growth in four main areas, correlating with the four elements.

Inner compassion (Water): Developing an accepting environment for all of who you are, transforming the inner critic, and cultivating self-love.

Inner strength (Earth): Resiliency practices and inner resource building. What are the foundations that you rely on to keep you strong and solid through the winds of change or the waves of grief and loss?

Inner peace (Air): Building and strengthening the your nuero-pathways in your brain that assist you in relaxing your central nervous system and stepping out of a of fight or flight or survival mode. How do you keep your head above water when you feel flooded or overwhelmed by fear or sadness?

Inner joy (Fire): Using creative expression to reconnect with our joy, passion, and love for life. What lights your fire? What makes you feel alive? Where in your life do you make space for your unique creative expression?
